I saw this leaf in a courtyard in Ojai the other day. Good friends were visiting and we had brunch in Santa Paula, then went to Libbey Park in Ojai and just walked around after that.

The day was gorgeous - sunny and warm. It was very relaxing and enjoyable just watching the kids play and catching up on what we'd been doing, reading, and thinking about.

It felt like a "time out" from the busy-ness of recent months. It was wonderful! And I'm thinking that I have to do that more often.
